Collezione Berettino 1530
An elegant Renaissance style decoration in the majolica.
During the third decade of 1500 the ceramic production in Faenza was enhanced by a technical innovation, the “berettino grigiazzurro” enamel, an elegant Renaissance style polychrome decoration consisting of the “festone robbiano” with fruits and flowers, golden yellow circles and fine white arabesques, defined as the “Vaghezze e gentilezze di Faenza” (the Vagueness and Kindness of Faenza).
